The lineout calls have, unusually, been ringing out in Spanish around Forenaughts in Co Kildare, home to AIB League Division Three side Naas RFC, where the Argentine rugby team have been training this week in preparation for Saturday’s match.

The visitors were given a warm welcome by Naas club members who also provided some essential training equipment.

The Argentineans landed in Ireland without 90% of their gear which had been left behind in Italy and were rescued somewhat by Umbro’s Paul Dean who provided the squad with training gear although all members couldn’t be catered for.

The Argentines are based at The City West Hotel in Saggart and will continue to use the Naas RFC facilities all week. They expect to name their side on Thursday.
