A knee injury, sustained in Saturday’s 18-9 win over Australia, means that John Kelly will miss the upcoming games against Fiji and Argentina. Kelly, who won his seventh international cap as a 41st minute replacement for Denis Hickie subsequently injured himself and although he finished the game, a scan on Monday showed he had done some damage to a medial ligament. He is expected to be out of action for two to three weeks.

Meanwhile, the ankle injury that forced Paul Wallace to withdraw from the squad for the clash with Australia has not cleared up and the Leinster prop has now withdrawn from the squad for the game against Fiji.
Replacements for both will be named later today while the starting line-up will be announced on Wednesday.
