The AN Other vacancy which had been left on the Irish squad for next Sunday’s game against Fiji has been filled by Leinster Lion Gordon D’Arcy. The composition of the side will be announced next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Irish squad split up after Saturday night’s celebrations for a short break. They will assemble tonight (Mon) at their Wicklow hotel to prepare for Sunday’s test. News on the player front is that John Kelly will undergo a scan on his injured leg later today to determine the seriousness of the injury. Keith Wood is not included in the squad but the good news from an Irish point of view is that he did feature in the Harlequins line-up for their clash with Saracens yesterday.

Also included in the squad for the Fijian game is David Humphreys and if he were to start or make an appearance during the game he would make history by becoming the most capped number 10 in Irish rugby, beating the record held by Jack Kyle.
