Irish captain Brian O’Driscoll, IRFU President, Don Crowley and IRFU Charitable Trust Chairman, John Hussey were in attendance last Thursday night in the old Lansdowne pavilion at the official launch of, ‘Putting It On The Line’, a new book sponsored by permanent tsb detailing life behind the scenes with the Irish rugby team over the past year.

The publication, the brainchild of Inphophotography MD Billy Stickland is a fabulous production with over 100 images from inside the Irish camp. Inpho photographers, Lorraine O’Sullivan, Andrew Paton, Patrick Bolger, Morgan Treacy and Stickland spent the last year with the Irish rugby team. The book is an intimate account of life with the team behind the scenes. It affords a chance to see what life is like for a modern professional rugby team.

Ireland team members, Reggie Corrigan, Victor Costello, Peter Stringer, Anthony Foley as well as coach Eddie O’Sullivan, assistants, Declan Kidney and Niall O’Donovan, manager Brian O’Brien and defence coach, Mike Ford were also in attendance.

The book will be on sale in the IRFU shops at Lansdowne Road on Saturday and in all leading bookstores. It will go on sale on-line (www.irishrugby.ie) next week.
Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the IRFU Charitable Trust.
