Chairman of ERC Ltd, Jean-Pierre Lux, Marketing Director Heineken Ireland, Michael van der Poel and ERC CEO,Derek McGrath were in RTE yesterday for the launch of the Heineken Cup.
The Irish launch of this season’s Heineken Cup took place yesterday in the RTE studios in Montrose. The players who attended were Andy Ward (Ulster), David Wallace and Paul O’Connell (Munster) and the Leinster trio of Nathan Spooner, Ben Willis and Peter McKenna. The event was compered by RTE Radio Sport rugby commentator, Michael Corcoran. The competition gets under way next Friday with Leinster the first up when they play Bristol Shoguns in Donnybrook (7.35pm).
