Ireland will open their Rugby World Cup campaign against Romania in the North Power Stadium, Gosford, following the Romanian’s 67-6 victory over Spain on Saturday.

The Romanians qualified as runner-up to Italy after they had scored nine tries against the Spaniards, out-half Ionut Tofan converting eight of those tries.
The final place in the group will go to either Namibia or Tunisia.

Rugby World Cup 2003.
Oct. 11th 2003 – Ireland v Romania, Gosford, (19:30 ).
Oct. 19th 2003 – Ireland v Namibia/Tunisia, Sydney, (20:00).
Oct. 26th, 2003 – Ireland v Argentina, Adelaide, (20:00).
Nov. 1st 2003 – Ireland v Australia, Melbourne, (20:30).
