Out-half Ronan O’Gara has received the all clear for Saturday’s Rugby World Cup qualifier against Georgia at Lansdowne Road. The Munster man didn’t take part in Tuesday’s training session because of a sore knee but that has cleared up and he is now set to win his 25th cap against the Georgians.

The news on Keith Wood still remains unclear. He did take a part in training yesterday but has still not been declared a certain starter. Frank Sheahan remains on standby as cover in the event that the Irish captain is ruled out. Shane Byrne will take over from Wood with Sheahan on the bench.

Ireland. Girvan Dempsey; John Kelly, Brian O’Driscoll, Kevin Maggs, Denis Hickie; Ronan O’Gara, Peter Stringer; Reggie Corrigan, Keith Wood (Capt.), John Hayes; Gary Longwell, Malcolm O’Kelly, Simon Easterby, Keith Gleeson, Anthony Foley.
Replacements: Shane Byrne, Paul Wallace, Leo Cullen, Alan Quinlan, Guy Easterby, David Humphreys, Rob Henderson.
