Eric Miller has been forced to cry off the Leinster team to play Connacht in the Celtic League at Donnybrook this evening, (Friday, September 13th) because of a rib injury and as a consequence and taking account of further medical opinion, Miller has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad to travel to Krasnoyarsk, Siberia for Ireland’s World Cup qualifying match against Russia on September 21.
Miller is replaced in the Ireland squad by Victor Costello (Leinster – St. Mary’s College).

Meanwhile Connacht’s chances of putting one over on Leinster in Donnybrook suffered a serious setback with the news that Marnus Uijs and Johnny O’Connor have been forced to withdraw from the side through injury.
