With Brian O’Driscoll, Girvan Dempsey, Nathan Spooner, Emmett Byrne, Adam Magro and Peter McKenna not considered due to injury, Horgan’s experience will be vital to Leinster as they try to get back on track following that defeat in Scotland last week. Horgan will partner Kieran Lewis in the cente and in the process win his 50th cap for Leinster, as does lock Malcolm O’Kelly.

The game will double as a Guinness Interprovincial match and will be preceded by the Leinster U21’s V Munster U21s at 5.30pm).
