Reports abound that Peter Clohessy is set to head for the south of France and team up with fellow Irishman, Trevor Brennan at Toulouse.

It’s said that Clohessy is due to sign a fourth-month contract with the French and that he has agreed verbally to play for Toulouse as details of his contract are worked out. It is understood that Irish agent John Baker is acting on Clohessy’s behalf. The famous French club has a prop crisis after losing Franck Tournaire and Christian Califano to club rugby in England and the failure of the big Italian Andrea Lo Cicero to make an appearance.

Clohessy, who turned 36 in March, announced his intention to retire from representative rugby after the Heineken Cup final last May.
