(Munster/Shannon) have both being called into the Irish squad from which the team to play Romania will be picked.
Both players have been drafted into the squad as precautionary cover for Anthony Foley (Munster/ Shannon) and Eric Miller (Leinster/Terenure), who are both carrying rib injuries.
Quinlan and Costello both played central roles in their respective provinces wins last weekend in the opening round of the Celtic League.
The Ireland side to play Romania will be named later today.
