Duffy and Waugh in Connacht Starting XV

Gavin Duffy and Warwick Waugh have both been included in the Connacht line-up for their opening Celtic League game against Borders in Selkirk on Friday night.

The Connacht team to play Borders in the opening game of the Celtic League at Selkirk on Friday evening (7.30 pm) includes Gavin Duffy who hobbled out of the game against Munster last week and Warwick Waugh, who missed that game with a hamstring injury. There is still some concern about both players but they are expected to pass a late fitness.
Also included is former Scottish international Eric Peters while John O’Sullivan is preferred to his clubmate Paul Neville on the replacement bench.
28 year old centre Tim Allnutt
will lead the side.

Connacht. Gavin Duffy; Ted Robinson, Darren Yapp, Tim Allnutt, Wayne Munn; Eric Elwood, Eoin Reddan; Ronnie McCormack, Marnus Uijs, Peter Bracken; Warwick Waugh, Rowan Frost; Michael Swift, Eric Peters, Johnny O’Connor.
Replacements: Dan McFarland, Henry Bourke, Colm Rigney, John O’Sullivan, Chris Keane, Mark McHugh, Dermot O’Sullivan.
