Ulster coach Alan Solomons has included Robbie Kempson, Tony McWhirter, Warren Brosnihan and Sheldon Coulter in his starting line-up for tomorrow night’s clash wirh Glasgow at Ravenhill (7.30pm). Tony McWhirter is set to partner Jeremy Davidson in the second row while Robbie Brink is named among the replacements.

The strength in depth of this Ulster squad augers well for the coming season and has allowed Solomons rotate his players. McWhirter, injured for the Bedford game, takes over from Mark Blair who played against Bedford in the second row. Brosnihan will play at No 7 and Kempson at prop.

The only change in the backline from that game sees Sheldon Coulter in in place of Jan Cunninhgham while Kieran Campbell has been declared fit to play despite picking up a slight rib injury last weekend.

Ulster captain Andy Ward is fulluy aware that this game represents a big step up from last weekend.
” Of course the challenge is different but I’m confident we can rise to it.” he said. “There’s still a lot of work to be done and that’s why these early games are so important for us. Now is the time to get things right, to try out in match situations what we’ve worked on in practice. Getting things right this Friday is very important because the folowing weekend we’re into the Celtic League.”

Replacements: Clem Boyd (16), – Paul Shields (17), Mark Blair (18), Rob Brink (19), Reece Spee (20), Shane Stewart (21), Jan Cunningham (22).
