Horgan Out For Three Weeks

It has been confirmed that Shane Horgan will be out of action for two to three weeks and is likely miss Ireland’s opening international against Romania on September 7th.

Shane Horgan twisted his ankle while training with the Irish squad in Limerick. It was initially thought that he might have chipped a bone but medical examination proved different.
He will miss the opening international against Romania and obviously won’t be available to Leinster for their Celtic League opener against Pontypridd. He is expected to be fit for the Rugby World Cup qualifiers against Russia and Georgia later in the month.
