Leinster Lions in Longford Today

Longford Rugby Club will host Celtic League and Interprovincial Champions Leinster as they take on the Bristol Shoguns in a pre-season friendly in The Demesne, Longford today (3pm).

Leinster, who will be without some of their Irish players (in the national training camp), have already stated that the Heineken Cup is their major goal this season.
Team Manager Ken Ging stated “we only lost two matches last season, one against Leicester (eventual winners) in the Heineken Cup Quarter-Final. Unbeaten in the Celtic League, one draw against Munster in our winning Interprovincial campaign, 17 wins and 586 points scored – yet we hope to do better this year!”
