McGeechan in Trinity College.

Scotland and former British and Irish Lions coach Ian McGeechan will be coming to Dublin tomorrow to be the featured coach in the first Rugby coaching seminar to be held at Trinity College Dublin.

Ian is excited at the prospect of sharing his vast rugby knowledge with Irish coaches and Rugby enthusiasts. The morning will consist of three one hour presentations from McGeechan, including his modern day philosophy starting with the victorious Lions tour to South Africa in 1997 where he will introduce previously unseen video of the Lions training methods on that tour.
He will also present a twelve minute motivation’ video – one of only two copies that exist – that he showed the team before the first Test. He will demonstrate how his philosophy and planning has evolved over the years, and enunciate his views about the modern day game and where technically and tactically he sees the game going.

The cost of the seminar is EUR250. The cost includes morning coffee, lunch and an evening happy hour’ in the pavilion at Trinity College.
