Edmonds departs from NSW Waratahs.

Former Australian international Manuel Edmonds has left the New South Wales Waratahs to play club rugby in France.

At the press conference in Austrailia the 25-year-old flyhalf told reporters ithat he would sign a three-year deal with Perpignan after being released from the final year of his contract with New South Wales.

Edmonds played only two tests for the Wallabies, scoring a record 20 points on debut in a World Cup qualifier against Tonga in 1998, but failed to cement a regular spot in the squad. He lost his place in the Waratahs team to Duncan McRae this season but was selected for the Australia A side that beat France A this month.
