14/06/02. Rugby fans are being advised to Rug Up’ for their visit to Carisbrook tomorrow night with a wintry blast expected that will deliver snow to low levels in Otago over the weekend.

A crowd of 27,000 is expected for the first rugby game to be played under lights at the famous stadium where the Irish team went last night for the usual walk-out.

Pre main-match activities will include a curtain raiser between Otago Boys High School and Southland Boys High.

Dunedin singers Jud Arthur and Anna Leese will sing the respective anthems. Arthur will perform God Defend New Zealand in both Maori and English while 21 year old Leese will sing Ireland’s Call.
