Hundreds Queue Up Overnight

10/05/02.Hundreds of Munster rugby supporters queued overnight, some for over 24 hours, in order to be in place when tickets go on sale this morning for the Heineken Cup final.

At the head of the queue outside Thomond Park in Limerick this morning will be 31 year old Raymond Begley from Croom who started his vigil at 9.45 am yesterday morning. By lunchtime he had been joined by several hundred others in for the long haul until 10am this morning when the ticket office will open.

There are only about 1400 tickets available, which means that the first seven hundred will be catered for, each person is restricted to two tickets.

The majority of the 20,000 tickets allocated to Munster were distributed through the affiliated clubs for their members.
