Exiles U19 Injury Crisis.

The Irish Exiles U19 side due to play England Students on Sunday (May 5th) have been hit with a series of Injuries to key players in their back line.

Scrum half Robbie Shaw smashed his nose when training with the Wasps first team and requires surgery.

Chris Meehan fly half was concussed when playing for Leeds Tykes U19’s in a cup game and will be out for a mandatory period.

Simon Ward centre broke his wrist playing for his club Maidenhead and will be out of action until next season.

Coach Peter Halsall said he was disappointed for the injured players and the team. The boys had been looking forward to playing together in a very talented side. However he was sure some of the younger U18 players who could now get their chance would respond. Joining the squad are scrum half Paddy Gill who played for Ireland in the Four Nations Youth Tournament this season, David Hiles centre and fly half Ian Rudgeley both of Campion School, finalist in this years Daily Mail Cup. Hiles had a final trial for England Schools U18’s this year.
