After an uneventful flight from Cork airport the Munster team arrived in
France yesterday, their Excelair flight touching down in a sweltering
Montpellier airport at 2:55 (local time)
The players were given an idea of the conditions they might expect during
the
game on Sauturday with temperatures reaching ninety degrees farenheight.
After a coach transfer to their hotel – Chateau Residence de Bionne – and
then a light meal the squad left for a training session at nearby Stade
Sabathe, home to the Montpelier rugby team.
By then the temperature had dropped somewhat and coach Declan KIdney put the
side through their paces in a session that saw both Peter Clohessy and Paul O’Connell take a full part.
The starting line up will be named later today in a joint press conference
with Castres
