Shoulder Operation for Spooner.

24/04/02.Nathan Spooner, Leinster’s Australian out-half, will have to undergo an operation to repair damage to his right shoulder which he injured in the game against Munster

It was originally thiought that the injury might be career-ending injury as Spooner has had to undergo reconstruction surgery on the same shoulder in the past. However, he has been told by doctors that the shoulder can be repaired with an operation and that he will be able to play rugby next season and is expected to be back in the Leinster team by November.

Leinster coach Matt Williams was very relieved with the news, “We thought it might have been the end of his career, and now are greatly relieved for him that the news is better than we anticipated. He has really enjoyed his rugby this past season and really wants to stay in Ireland and continue playing with Leinster.”
