Quinlan in for Williams ?

23/04/02.With Jim Williams ruled out of the Munster side for Saturday’s clash with Castres, Alan Quinlan is likely to be named as the Australians’ replacement when the side is named on Friday.

It was an injury to Quinlan that allowed Williams establish himself in the backrow and now Quinlan is afforded the opportunity to not just show what he can do for Munster but also book his place ln the plane for Ireland’s trip to New Zealand.

Paul O’Connell is still considered doubtful for Saturday’s game but Ronan O’Gara and John Hayes are expected to be fit to take their places in the Munster starting line up.

Meanwhile, the news about Peter Clohessy is that the player himself, unsurprisingly, is not ruling himself out of the side. The problem is however, that Clohessy has not been able to go into contact in training and time is not on his side in regards this game.
