Castres Running Into Form

23/04/02. Castres, Munster’s opponents in the Heineken Cup semi-finals are running into form just at the right time, their most recent outing ending in a 62-21 victory over Montauban.

In that game they scored eight tries but even more ominously than that, their metronomic goalkicker Romain Teulet landed nine from nine and tagged on a few tries to end up with a personal haul of 30 points – Munster you have been warned,

The victory at home to Montauban virtually removes the threat of relegation leaving them free to concentrate on the task ahead. Because of their dismal form in the French championship they have to win the Heineken Cup if they want to take part in the competition next year.
In sharp contrast to Munster who have had just one game since the quarter-final, Castres have played seven times and include a 58-6 home win over Dax three weeks ago and in between they had a creditable 15-all draw away to Colomiers.
