Williams Very Doubtful for Castres Game.

22/04/02.Munster’s influential flanker Jim Willliams will undergo an MRI scan later today to determine the seriousness of the calf injury he picked up in Munster’s game with Leinster on Friday.

Williams left the field in the opening half to be replaced by Alan Quinlan and initially it was thought that the injury was not too serious. However, it transpired that the Australian had torn a calf muscle and he is now considered very doubtful for Munster’s Heineken Cup semi final clash with Castres in Beziers next Saturday.

Other players who picked up knocks in Friday’s six-all draw, Paul O’Connell and Ronan O’Gara are expected to recover in time for the semi.
Munster will complete their preparation in Thomond Park on Wednesday before flying out from Cork for Montpelier on Thursday morning. They will train in Montpelier rugby club on arrival before settling in to their hotel on the outskirts of the city.
