Williams Definitely Out of Munster Squad

22/04/02. Jim Williams, Munster’s Australian wing-forward has been definitely ruled out of the Munster squad for the Heineken Cup semi-final clash with Castres in Beziers on Saturday.

Williams underwent an MRI scan this afternoon which confirmed that he had suffered a tear to his calf muscle that will force him to miss the game in France. It is hoped that Williams will be fit to be considered for the final should Munster advance to that stage.

The other major injury worry concerns Paul O’Connell who injured a shoulder in Friday night’s game and is considered 50/50 to make the starting line-up
