Well Done London Irish

London Irish

The victory for London Irish was certainly a marvellous one and full credit to all concerned but especially to the small band of Irish people who played such a big part in the win.
Congratulations to Cono O’Shea, Barry Everitt, Justin Bishop and Eddie Halvey.

However, I have to ask what people thought of the an incident which to my mind should have resulted in Irish playing part of the second half with fourteen. The incident I am referring to was where Brendan Venter attempted to decapitate Matt Dawson. What do you think ? Am I being unfair.?

And while I’m on the subject of London Irish. What’s all this I am hearing about Declan Danaher (he had a smashing game yesterday) being told he was too nice to play international rugby ? Who told him ? It doesn’t make sense, so if anyone out there knows – and I don’t want to hear what ‘a fella told me in the Rose & Crown’ – please let us know.
Or maybe is it, as someone put to me recently, just a question of Master Danaher (rather foolishly) taking ‘the queen’s shilling’.?
