16/04/02.Reports emanating from Leinster Branch suggest that Alan Gaffney,assistant to Matt Williams, is set to leave, to pursue the position of Munster Director of Coaching.
According to the official Leinster website, www.leinsterrugby.ie ” A spokesman for Leinster confirmed that Alan Gaffney has today (Monday) expressed his intention to further pursue the Munster Head Coaching Position.
The Spokesman also confirmed that Leinster would be examining all options in filling their Assistant Coach Position and wished Alan all the very best for the future.
That statement suggests that Leinster are resigned to losing Gaffney who has played a huge role in Leinster’s success this season.
