AIB League – Con Impress in Emphatic Victory

13/04/02. Mick O’Driscoll was the Man of the Match in Cork Con’s 43-17 win over Garryowen in today’s AIB League semi-final clash at Temple Hill.

Cork Con dominated for most of a game that their pack dominated. They led 15-5 at half time and closed out the game with a couple of Ronan O’Gara penalties and a try from the impressive Cian Mahony. Whatever chance Garryowen might have entertained of a comeback ended when John Kelly, a first half replacement for Brian Walsh raced in for a try under the posts from his own 22.
