Ireland Team Named Later Today

02/04/03. Barnhall’s Trevor Brennan was called into the Ireland senior squad yesterday as cover for Simon Easterby who was nursing a shoulder injury. The side will be named later this morning.

Easterby didn’t play with his club at the weekend but is expected to be in contention for a place in the side to play France on Saturday. The Irish squad will train this morning in Greystones Rugby Club before returning to the Glenview Hotel where coach Eddie O’Sullivan will announce his side at a mid-day media conference.

Keith Gleeson (pictured) had been called up to the senior squad after Eric Miller suffered concussion playing with Terenure at the weekend. Keith wood is expected to return to the side for his first game of the championship and Rob Henderson is another contender for the Paris encounter.
Both players took a full part for their respective clubs in last week-end’s League action, Woods scoring a try for Harlequins and Henderson doing likewise for Young Munster.
