Irish coach Eddie O’Sullivan has made just one change, from the side that lost in Twickenham, for Saturday’s Lloyds TSB Six Nations game against Scotland at Lansdowne Road. Shane Horgan, who missed that game through injury returns to the side in place of Geordan Murphy (injured). John Kelly the Cork Con and Munster player who scored a try in the A international against England is included on the bench.

Girvan Dempsey; Shane Horgan, Brian O’Driscoll, Kevin Maggs, Denis Hickie; David Humphreys, Peter Stringer; Peter Clohessy, Frank Sheahan, John Hayes; Mick Galwey capt, Malcolm O’Kelly; Eric Miller, David Wallace, Anthony Foley.

Replacements. Shane Byrne, Paul Wallace, Gary Longwell, Simon Easterby, Guy Easterby,Ronan O’Gara, John Kelly.
