The citing case involving Leicester Tiger Lewis Moody will be heard tomorrow (Friday) at the ERC offices in Dublin. Moody was cited by Leinster for allegedly stamping on Brian O’Driscoll in the Heineken Cup game at Welford Road on January 27th.

It will be interesting to see how the ERC deal with this particular case in light of the decision handed down to Olivier Magne by the Six Nations disciplinary committee. French international Magne was acccused of stamping on Italian centre Denis Dallan and was given a three week suspension. The disciplinary committee decided that Magne’s action was reckless rather than deliberate and so, he will just miss one game (v Wales).

Moody therefore, can entertain reasonable hope that he will receive a short rather than a lenghty sanction or even escape any sanction at all if he can convince ERC that the incident was totally accidental.
