From a Munster point of view, Lady luck wore a French smile tonight when the draw for the Heineken Cup semi-final was made at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Munster were drawn last and now must return to France for a semi-final clash with Castres, the side that beat them in the final Pool game in early January.

The other semi-final will be between the holders Leicester and Llanelli at a venue yet to be decided.

Last year Munster had to travel to northern France, the previous year, southern France and it’s off again to the south of France, possibly Lyon, for Munster and their loyal band of supporters.
