Ismaella Lassissi, the Castres number 8, who was suspended from playing for a year, has lodged an appeal to ERC Ltd. Last Thursday, a case brought by Munster against Lassissi for biting Peter Clohessy in the Castres v Munster Heineken Cup game was found proved and the ERC disciplinary committee imposed a 12 month suspension from the date of the hearing.

Following on from that, Lassissi was quoted in the French newspaper L’Equipe, saying he didn’t bite Clohessy and that he had dropped charges of racism against the player because he felt the that the committee were biased towards him.
