A 24-3 win in Thomond Park over St.Mary’s College hoisted Shannon to the head of affairs in Division One of the AIB League while Young Munster recorded their first victory when they defeated DLSP 22-10 at Tom Clifford Park.

Garryowen missed the opportunity to return to the leadership when they went down 28-16 to Buccaneers, Cork Con defeated Galwegians 16-10 at Temple Hill while there was a win for UCD, 23-34 over Lansdowne.

In Division Two Thomond won the Limerick derby beating Old Crescent 11-6
