Johnny Wilkinson kicked all his sides’s points as England defeated world champions Australia 21-15 in Twickenham today.

And in Cardiff, Felipe Comtepomi kicked 25 of Argentina’s points as they accounted for a dismal Welsh side by 30-16.

Three first half penalties and two drop goals from Wilkinson had England firmly in command (15-0) by half time. However Australia rallied and ten points from Matt Burke – try, conversion and penalty – brought them right back into contention. Wilkinson then added two further penalties (21-10) but a late try from Phil waugh ensured a nail biting finish.

At the Millenium Stadium Wales trailed Argentina 16-7 at half time, but in the second half it was Argentina who made most of the runnning and they wound up comfortable 30-16 winners.
