With a quick turn around, the 7.15pm games got under way with no hesitation! The Cartron Cowboys being in their second season were up against Fairly Lively captained by Gary Smith. Cowboys by name and certainly by nature on the pitch, as they had a convincing win against the Livelys, who although are not new to the game have added a number of new players to their panel this year. With Dominic Storey captaining the Cartron Cowboys, they took a good win 15 to 7.
It looked like the rain was staying put for the evening and the 8.00pm games saw no difference. The Chancers led by Dean Flanagan were up against the Untouchables, captained by Pauline Sweeney who along with her fellow team mates including Eoin Rochford found it to be a very close game this week. Perhaps due to the weather, it was a very low scoring game which remained neck-and-neck throughout. The Untouchables however just scoped the win by 1 point, with the final score being the Chancers 3 - the Untouchables 4.
