Barry Murphy
Barry Murphy

An exciting midfield runner who can electrify a back-line, BARRY MURPHY is comfortable at centre or on the wing.

He first came to prominence in an Ireland Under-21 midfield partnership back in 2003, alongside his UL Bohemians club-mate Keith Matthews.

Injuries have halted his progress with Munster and Ireland, but he made his senior debut against Argentina in 2007 and he hit the Heineken Cup heights with a stunning try against Sale in 2006.

Coming off his most prolific season to date with Munster, which included a try in the epic defeat to the All Blacks, the Limerick man has regularly turned out for Ireland 'A' in recent seasons including February's win over Scotland 'A'.
