A deceptively quick winger and former Monaghan minor Gaelic footballer, Bowe became the first man from the Farney county to play for Ireland in 80 years in 2004.

It wasn’t until the 2008 RBS Six nations that Bowe really established himself, scoring two tries. He repeated that feat in 2009, including a magical catchand-
run from O’Gara’s chip at the Millenium Stadium – which helped Ireland seal their Grand Slam victory.

Tommy toured South Africa in 2009 with the British & Irish Lions.

Has emerged as one of Ireland’s most consistent performers, however he missed the beginning of the 2011 RBS Six nations through injury but returned for the win in Murrayfield.
