Andrew Trimble is a strong-running back who was capped initially by Ireland Schools and Under-21s.
Comfortable on the wing or at centre, he was crowned Ulster Rugby Player of the Year in 2006.
Part of Ireland’s 2007 RWC squad but had not featured in the RBS Six nations for two years before starting the opening match of the 2010 campaign against Italy.
