Venue History
The smallest stadium in the RBS Six Nations, the Stadio Flaminio held off competition from Bologna, Genoa and Padova to be the host of Italy's home fixtures when the country joined the competition in 2000. In fact it has hosted rugby internationals since 1935 when a French XV defeated the home side 44-6.

The present stadium dates from 1959 when it was rebuilt for the 1960 Olympics. It has hosted a wide range of sporting events including the World Equestrian Games.
