Venue History
Opened in 1999 the Millennium Stadium is already familiar to sports watchers across the globe. One World Cup final (1999) and two Heineken Cup finals (2002 and 2006) have already been played there and during the redevelopment of Wembley the stadium has hosted the finals of England's football competitions, most notably the FA Cup.

But the Millennium Stadium is also a true multi-purpose stadium, thanks to its sliding roof - the only of its kind in the UK. It is also next door to the Arms Park, home to the Cardiff Blues. The British Speedway Grand Prix is held annually along with many other motorsport events.

With a UEFA five-star rating the Millennium Stadium has welcomed over 1.3 million visitors and fans. Tours of the Millennium Stadium are available. Tel +44 (0)29 2082 2228 for more details.
