Rory Best
A HIGHLY regarded hooker who packs a punch in the loose, Rory Best muscled his way into the Irish team for the 2006 wins over South Africa and Australia and
was ever-present during the 2007 Triple Crown-winning campaign.
The Poyntzpass man shared the number 2 jersey with Jerry Flannery during the 2009 Grand Slam run, making one start against Scotland but coming up
with some big plays in all five games.
Best captained Ireland on the 2009 Summer Tour to North America and has become the first choice Irish hooker in recent seasons. A proud member of Banbridge RFC, Best again captained Ireland in the 2012 RBS 6 Nations.
