Research has found that participating in sports can have a healthy developmental impact on young children. These activities can promote co-operative play, teamwork and good sportsmanship.

Play Rugby provides you with session plans, video clips on how to play fun games, additional Play Rugby certificates for all the class and the full range of Game Cards.

Play Rugby Girls contains additional information for schools and clubs who would like to set up a Girls Rugby programme.

Realignment

  • Divide players into groups of five
  • One player becomes the feeder
  • The other four players run around four staggered cones and pass the ball along the line
  • Put a cone opposite each staggered cone for each player to run at and keep straight
  • Add two defenders to come up on player 1 and player 2 walking first then running
