Prop Cian Healy is expected to miss the start of the 2014 RBS 6 Nations after undergoing surgery on his injured ankle on Wednesday.
Gary Longwell comes into the replacements in place of Malcolm O'Kelly.
The Ireland - England match will also mark the 50th test appearance for No.8 Anthony Foley.
