Media and Communications Manager required for the I.R.F.U.
The IRFU is the governing body for rugby in Ireland. The media and communications needs of the IRFU have expanded greatly in line with the developing profile of professional rugby to the extent that we are now creating a position for a Media and Communications Manager based at IRFU Headquarters. The successful candidate will work closely with the Promotions & Marketing Manager and with National Team Management. His / her responsibilities will include;
- Press Officer for the Irish Team - Deal with all day to day PR / Communications issues - Editor IRFU websites - Development of Internal communications resources
The successful candidate will have a strong journalistic background and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a media relations management role. He/ she will have excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience of sporting media environment and familiarity with website administration would be advantageous.
