However, significant new additions have been recruited - for example, England U-18 loosehead prop George Porter (St. Peter's Gloucester), Wales U-18 squad scrum-half Tom James (Llandovery College) and centre Sean Hickey (Judd School) who was one of the outstanding players at the National Schools Sevens last season.
It is to be hoped that the combination of a largely settled squad with the new additions will off-set the advantage that the provinces normally have in terms of preparation time and can allow the Exiles to get the season off in style.
