Sean is captain of the 1st XV at Barnard Castle School, that famed rugby nursery in North East England, and is a Leeds Carnegie Academy player. Methodist College Belfast pupils of yesteryear will remember his father Gregor as a winger.
Lock Ciaran Ruddock (pictured above) gained his first cap against Italy at the weekend. He has recently been signed by Welsh Premiership club Neath and is a Swansea University student.
Ciaran's father Mike, the current director of rugby at Worcester Warriors, will, of course, need no introduction to Leinster followers particularly.
