A member of the Leinster Branch of Referees, he took charge of the Leicester Tigers v Llanelli Scarlets Heineken Cup semi-final twelve months ago.

Meanwhile, Welshman Nigel Owens will be the man in the middle for Munster's Heineken Cup semi-final clash with Saracens at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday, April 27 (kick-off 3pm).

It will be Owens' first time to referee a Heineken Cup semi-final. He was also in charge for Munster's quarter-final win over Gloucester at Kingsholm on April 5.
