Pollock moved up from the Ulster Rugby Academy and signed a development contract with Ulster in October 2006 which he upgraded today to a full contract.
Pollock has just completed the second year of a medical degree which he has now put on hold for two years to concentrate on rugby. His incredible work ethos and dedication has caught the eye of many players and coaches alike in Irish and International rugby.
Ulster coach Mark McCall said earlier today: "David is one of Ireland's brightest young players, he has all the attributes required to be a top class back row forward and we are delighted to welcome him into the professional set-up here at Ulster.
The player himself is also delighted and said of his new deal: "I am totally thrilled at signing this contract and having the chance to be involved in professional rugby for Ulster for two years and hopefully longer. I am very excited about my future at Ulster."
